Welcome to my web site. Following a professional life working nationally and internationally
in the contemporary arts, my focus now is on voluntary gardening and environmental
projects on my doorstep in South East London. Experience in arts, business and civic engagement
informs my approach. You will find information here on books about work at two arts organisations in which I have taken a leading role: Clayground Collective, specialists in clay and public engagement, and the London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), commissioners and presenters of contemporary performance from around the world. Occasional
speaking engagements and advisory roles on topics explored in these books take me around the
UK and to Europe. Subjects range from the significance of hand skills and making in today's world, to community
fundraising and the role of the arts in social adaptation. Publications: Clay in Common: a project book for schools, museums, galleries, libraries, and artists and clay activists everywhere, 2018, Triarchy Press. Written with colleague, Duncan Hooson. Supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Changing the Performance, A Companion Guide to Arts, Business and Civic Engagement, 2006, Routledge in association with NESTA.
